Come erogare un flusso streaming video in PHP anche su dispositivi mobili: UPDATE IPHONE !
In un articolo precedente ci siamo occupati di come erogare un flusso simil streaming grazie a PHP, e ti rimando alla sua lettura, premessa per questo articolo.
Non è un vero flusso streaming, che richiederebbe un apposito server streaming, bensì un flusso chiamato "pseudo" streaming, oppure "progressive download".
Lo script dell'articolo precedente funziona in ambiente desktop e mobile Android, tuttavia, non consente la visualizzazione sugli Iphone !
Cercando nel web ho individuato questo problema: l'iPhone utilizza degli "HTTP byte-ranges" (intervalli di byte HTTP) per la richiesta di file video (e audio): il browser Web richiede innanzitutto il contenuto e, se si tratta di un file audio o video, si apre il lettore multimediale. Il lettore multimediale richiede quindi i primi 2 byte del contenuto, per garantire che il server Web supporti le richieste "byte-range". Quindi, se li supporta, il lettore multimediale dell'iPhone richiede il resto del contenuto per "byte-range" e lo riproduce.
Lo script visto nel precedente articolo impatta con questa esigenza degli Iphone. La soluzione è questa classe, che sostituisce completamente quello script, e che consente una visualizzazione corretta su tutti i dispositivi mobili, anche sugli Iphone.
Inseriamo questa classe classe in un file chiamato, ad esempio, "stream.php"
